This beautiful porcelain plaque is mounted on a wooden base and features Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava surrounded by many symbols of his peaceful power. Guru Rinpoche – also known as the Precious Guru – is seen standing on a lotus because his name of Padmasambhava translates as “born of the lotus”, which is a symbol for purity and the ability to overcome difficulties. He is shown holding a vajra or diamond in his right hand, a symbol of compassionate love, while his left hand holds a yogi’s skull bowl, to indicate feng shui abilities for enhancing clear wisdom. The trident staff he holds represents the belief that he has the ability to ward off evil and magnify overall good feng shui luck. Bowls of offerings are seen surrounding him, a feng shui symbol of abundance. This 8th century master of Buddhism is thought to be an inspirational figure in protection from evil. It is believed that placing this Feng Shui plaque at work or home will dispel negative afflictions and encourage happiness and overall good fortune.
