Goddess Kurulkulla, known as the Red Tara, is the first of the 21 Taras. She is reputed to help devotees to gain authority and respect from others. Believers pray to the Red Tara when they are seeking help to attract goodness and to increase their ability to help others. Worshipped by unhappy lovers, she is also said to be particularly successful in magnetizing a desired mate into your life. Her mantra is “OM TA RE TUT TA RE SANTA RA HRI SVAHA” and when recited ten thousand times is believed to bring about all of one’s desires.

She is eight-armed, and holds various symbolic attributes in her hands. With two of her main arms she holds an arrow, stretched on a bow.
